ANGELIS, Apollonia De Angelis

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Apollonia De Angelis (née Faiazza), who died peacefully on Monday, December 15, at the age of 94, at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Born in Macchia da Borea, Abruzzo, Italy, Apollonia emigrated to Canada with courage and determination, building a life rooted in hard work, faith, and devotion to family. She was a tough, strong, and outspoken woman — deeply funny and beautiful in spirit — who sacrificed endlessly so her family and those she loved could have more. A woman of deep faith, Apollonia was social and surrounded by many friends. She found joy in her garden, cooking, making things with her hands, and being with her family, which was always at the centre of her life. She is survived by her sons John (Silvana) and Joe, son-in-law Ardo, her cherished grandchildren Paula, Marc, Alana, Alyssa, and Michael and her brothers Guido (Elda) and Adornino (Florence). She was predeceased by her husband Armando, her daughter Irene (Perri) and brothers Berardo (Agata) and Concezio (Ameriga). The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many healthcare professionals who cared for Apollonia, especially over the past year, for their compassion and support.
