ANGUS, Poppy Angus

ANGUS, Poppy Angus

With loving hearts, we remember Poppy. Born and raised in Kelowna B.C. She was proud to be part of a family that spanned five generations in Kelowna.

She is survived by her 3 children, 5 grand children, and 3 great-grandchildren children: her son Jamie Angus (Cristina) their children Brittney, Zach, and Alec, and their grand children Avy, Luci, and Xavier, who were Poppy’s heart and soul; daughter Christine Angus; grand puppy Bella; daughter Shawna Learning (Colin) and their children Danielle and Colby; and siblings Murray, Lynda, Sharon (Kevin), and Ron (Becky); along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Poppy shared a devoted and loving marriage of fifty-two years with her loving husband, Richard Angus. They had many wonderful adventures together, and her family remained the centre of her world.

She was a loving mother, grandmother. GG, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a strong and caring soul who beat many odds in her life.

Poppy’s life was woven with service, love, and community. She touched the lives of countless children. Both her own and the many She cared for over the years. From her early involvement in children’s sports to her lifelong dedication to the Girl Guides, her commitment continued long after her own children were grown. Her love for the Westbank Museum, and the heritage of the town, reflected her deep pride in the community she adored. Poppy found passion and joy in the rhythm of her African Drumming that matched her bright spirit.

The family would like to thank all of Poppy’s dialysis team for all the love and support you all gave her. She loved you all.

A celebration of Poppy’s life will be held in the summer so we can all gather in her garden to remember the wonderful, loving person she was to us all.

Poppy will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Forever in our hearts.
