ANIDJAR,Preciada Anidjar
October 18, 2025It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Preciada (Precy) Anidjar on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Precy was the devoted wife of the late David Anidjar and beloved mother of Lydia, Gladys, and Sam. She is predeceased by her siblings Max (Nagy), Esther (Sam) and Morris (Nicole). She will be deeply missed by her adored grandchildren Joe (Melissa), Esther (Jesse), and Daniel; great-grandchildren Lev, Sylvie, and Julian; nieces and nephews Brian (Amy) and Tania (Garreth); and her great-nieces and nephews Jacob, Maya, Maddie, and Maddox.
Affectionately known as Mamita, Precy filled her family’s lives with love, warmth, and care. Born in Tangiers, Morocco, she married David in 1951, and together they built a beautiful life until his passing in 2008. After immigrating to Toronto in 1968, Precy balanced raising her family with a dedicated career as a secretary, admired for her precision, professionalism, and grace.
Precy delighted in gathering her family for Friday night Shabbat dinners, a cherished tradition that reflected her pride in her Jewish roots and her generous spirit.
Fiercely independent, witty, and elegant, she cherished her friendships, loved music and travel, and treasured every moment spent with family. She was the heart and matriarch of her family; a source of love, faith, care, wisdom and strength. Precy will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
