ANSCOMBE, Leslie Anscombe

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Leslie “Les” William Anscombe, age 67, on December 2, 2025, at his home in Leamington, Ontario.

Born to Thomas “Tom” Anscombe and Laura Anscombe (Fitch), Les grew into a man known for his enormous heart, tireless work ethic, and unforgettable sense of humor. He was the kind of person who could fix anything, help anyone, and make everyone around him laugh. If someone needed a hand, Les was already there – often shirtless, because he truly would give the shirt off his back.

Les found joy in many things, especially riding his Harley and running heavy equipment – work he loved and mastered over the years. A dedicated mentor, he guided countless coworkers, friends, and family. Many considered him not just a friend, but a father figure.

Above all, Les was devoted to his family. He took immense pride in his children and grandchildren, supporting them in every way he could. Whether through his guidance, his humour, or his unwavering loyalty, Les made sure his family always felt protected, encouraged, and deeply loved. His family was his greatest joy, and he worked hard every day to give them the best life he could.

Les leaves behind the love of his life and wife, Denise Anscombe (Langlais); his children, Tiffany Anscombe, Chris Anscombe; his daughter-in-law, Ashley Anscombe (Lalumiere); and his cherished grandchildren: Larissa, Aiden, Charisma, Logan, and Lilah. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Julie Critchlow (Mark), his brother John Anscombe (Sharon), and many nieces and nephews who adored him.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to his home care nurses, Cheryl and Barb of Saint Elizabeth Health, for their exceptional compassion, support, and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Les’s name to Saint Elizabeth Health – Erie Saint Clair.

Funeral and visitation arrangements will be shared with family and friends.

Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
