ANTOLIN , Stefan Steve Antolin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stefan (Steve) Antolin, who died peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Oakville, Ontario.

Born in Slovenia on April 15, 1950, Steve immigrated to Canada as a refugee with his family and settled in the Montreal area. A gifted student and talented athlete, Steve was recruited to play university football in the United States and later returned to Canada to play professionally for the Montreal Alouettes.

Following his football career, Steve served proudly as an officer with the RCMP, before joining McDonald’s Canada in 1977. In 1992, he became a McDonald’s franchiseeβ€”a role he embraced with dedication and entrepreneurial spiritβ€”running a successful business until selling it to his daughter, Jennifer, in 2012.

Steve was passionate about playing golf, travel, and sharing good food and conversation with friends and family. He won several club championships at Glen Abbey Golf Club and will be remembered for his integrity, warm sense of humour, and his strong personal discipline.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; his daughter, Jennifer; his son-in-law, Trevor Westerhoff and their children Charlotte and Audrey.

No service is scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald House South Central Ontario in Steve’s name are appreciated.
