ARBUCKLE, Donald Douglas Arbuckle

Passed away on August 25, 2025 at the Kingston General Hospital (1 Month short of his 88th birthday).

Donald was born in Kingston to Ronald and Phyllis (Heaslip) Arbuckle on September 26, 1937. He was the oldest of three children, brother of Edwin of Waterloo and Blane (Betty) of Gananoque. Donald married Gloria Fair (Crawford) in 2003. Don has one daughter Donna (Paul) Arbuckle Beulens of Candiac, Que. and two grandchildren Peter Beulens of Gaspesie Que. and Rhian Beulens of Candiac, Que.

Donald attended elementary school and secondary school in Gananoque and spent his career as an industrial electrician and maintenance supervisor in Ontario and Quebec for 45 years. In 2001, after retirement, he returned to his home town in Gananoque and the St. Lawrence River which he loved. After marriage to Gloria in 2003 he moved to Lansdowne and then to Gananoque 2009. They led a busy life in their church, travelling and a social life with friends and relatives.

Donald loved his Pine Grove Church, the cottage at Charleston Lake, travelling and visiting his daughter, son-in-law and family in Quebec and always wished his grandchildren lived closer.

Visitation will be held at the Tompkins Funeral Home at 11:00am on September 6, 2025 followed by a Memorial Service in our Chapel at 12:00pm. Inurnment will take place at the Gananoque Cemetery. A Reception will be held at the Tompkins Funeral Home following the inurnment.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Pine Grove Community Church would be appreciated the family.
