Huffels ArieHUFFELS, Arie Huffels –  92 years

who passed away peacefully on Friday October 09, 2015 at the Health Sciences North, surrounded by his family.

Arie and his wife Mary were wed April 17, 1951 in Holland and immigrated to Sudbury the next day where they started their legacy.

Arie has numerous relatives still in Holland. He is survived by his wife Mary (Van Bijlevelt), Harry of Vancouver, Paul (Dee), Margaret O’Malley (Brian) of Whitby, Dave (Sue predeceased), Bruce of Calgary

.

He leaves behind 7 grandchildren Buddy, Sean (Jennifer), Natalie (Blair), Kyle (Gillian), Cameron, Brent, Derek (Kayla) and 6 great grandchildren Robyn, Scott, Julia, Sean Jr, Lucas and Tessa.

Arie was a long time Sudbury Barber who enjoyed his time at his cottage on Birch Island, snow birding in Florida and all occasions when he was surrounded by his family.

Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury.  (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday and after 10:30am Wednesday).  

Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at 11:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital would be appreciated
