LEMIEUX, Armand Éli “Lem” Lemieux – 89 years Passed away Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury.
Beloved husband of Letisia (nee Marcon) Lemieux predeceased October 18th, 2009.
Loving father of Gary (Agnes Bajkai), Colette (Dan Totino) and Pauline (Serge Dignard).
Cherished grandfather of Adam (Kate), Erin (Andrew Corstorphine) and Ashley predeceased.
Also survived by great-grandchildren Callan, Eveline and Isla.
Dear son of René and Rose (Gosselin) Lemieux both predeceased. Dear brother of Aurèle Lemieux.
In the 40’s and 50’s, Armand was a Canadian professional hockey player who played for the Providence Reds, the Pittsburgh Hornets, the Springfield Indians, the Syracuse Warriors and the Philadelphia Falcons in the American Hockey League.
He also played for the Sudbury Wolves. “Lem” held the position of left wing and was known for his wicked left hand shot.
A Celebration of Armand’s life will be held at a later date.
