ARTHUR, Helen Jamieson  Arthur

Passed away peacefully on Saturday November 29th, 2025​, at the age of  94 years, in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada after spending her last days at McCulloch Hospice and Health Sciences North hospital (HSN) surrounded by loved ones.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Reynold Maurice Arthur, her mother Sarah (née Patrick), father George Grant; and her 10 siblings.

Helen was born on February 14th, 1931 in Dundonald, Scotland; married and raised her children in Kilmarnock, Scotland; moved to Montreal, Canada in 1967; and lived in the Sudbury area from the age of 37 to the end of her life. She loved to garden, listen to music, watch Jeopardy, gamble, and spend time with her family. She loved people and she was well-loved, making friends everywhere she went.

She was treasured and will be missed by her surviving family members: Maurice and Rita Arthur, Bob and Elaine Reed, Iain and Claire Arthur; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of 8 North HSN and of McCulloch Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.

At Helen’s request, no funeral service will be held. Donations to a charity of your choice if you wish.
