It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Peace Ayebor Arueyingho, who departed this life on July 19, 2025 at the age of 57.
Born on January 28, 1968, in Bethel, Delta State, Nigeria, Peace was the beloved daughter of the late Miriam and Ishmael Ikede. She was raised in a faith-filled Anglican home as the youngest of eight children and carried the values of faith, education, and resilience throughout her life.
Peace attended Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS) in Ozoro before earning a degree in English Literature from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife. She began her professional life as a secondary school teacher in Nigeria and had a deep love for literature and learning.
In 1994, she married Mr. Timothy Aboyowa Arueyingho, and together they raised four daughters. In 2001, Peace and her family immigrated to Canada in pursuit of a better life. With courage and determination, she returned to school and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy. She worked for 14 years in the healthcare field as a compassionate personal caregiver, known for her warmth, empathy, and dedication to those in her care.
Peace will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, her love for her family, her strength, and her generosity. She was a nurturing mother, a devoted wife, and a woman who made everyone around her feel seen, supported, and loved. Her home was always open, her meals always comforting, and her spirit always kind.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Timothy Aboyowa Arueyingho; her daughters, Omasanbuwa Blessing, Eyitemi Tracy, Shesan Elo, and Amaju Abigail; her siblings; and a large circle of extended family and friends who will carry her memory with deep affection.
