ASHTON, Joan Barbara Ashton (née Facey)

Ashton, Joan Barbara (née Facey), passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth “Ken” “Meco” Henry Ashton. Loving mother of Wendy (Bob), Stephen, and the late Kathi Anderson. Dear mother-in-law of Neil Anderson and Teri-Jo Collina. Cherished grandmother of Shaun White (Jazmine), Ashley White (Gareth), Lindsey, Lee, and Adam Anderson (Cheri), and Riley Ashton. Treasured great-grandmother (G.G.) to Frances, Lachlan, and Lennon.

Joan was predeceased by her sister Gwen Linton (the late Robert) and will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, and Port Hope Extendicare for their care and compassion, and to the staff and residents at Roseglen Village in Port Hope for their kindness, humour, and companionship.
