AUER, Ingrid Auer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ingrid Auer.

Ingrid was the daughter of the late George Arnie Auer and Ann (Fisher) Auer. She is survived by two sisters, one brother and several nieces and nephews.

Ingrid was born in Toronto in 1950 and spent the next 65 years living and working there, mostly in the financial district.

Ingrid’s dream was to one day own her own small home or cottage upon retirement. In 2015 she moved to the South Side Estates in Chatham and bought her mobile home.

She loved gardening and would spend many hours tending to her flowers and raised vegetable gardens. She loved to share her bountiful crops with her neighbours throughout the summers.

Ingrid was also an animal lover and always had a furry cat in her life. Her 11 year old cat Khyrstin was her baby.

In 2024, Ingrid sold and moved to Thames Towers Apartments where she loved her new place. She quickly met new friends and neighbours and loved Tuesday bingos.

She will be greatly missed by her chosen brothers Rick and Ed and her many family and friends. She was such a kind person with a quiet voice and a warm smile.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
