BABCOCK , Franklin Eric (Frank) Babcock

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franklin Eric (Frank) Babcock, who passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Crescent Park Lodge in Fort Erie, in his 92nd year. After battling a variety of health challenges in his final years, he is now at peace.

Frank was a native of the Ottawa area where he participated in youth sports and served in the Royal Canadian Navy aboard the HMS Haida. He later settled in Niagara, working various industrial jobs and serving as a union steward and later apartment manager. He was active in the Royal Canadian Legion, proudly serving as president of Legion Branch 612 in Beamsville. Frank remained a dedicated Ottawa Senators and CFL Redblacks fan throughout his life, and he loved fishing trips back in his hometown region.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Irene, stepdaughter Helen Tilden (Deryk), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many cherished friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, and stepsons John and Mark.

Visitation will be held at Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
