BACKHAM, Douglas Backham Obituary

BACKHAM, Douglas – Passed away quietly after a lengthy illness on October 10, 2015 at the age of 67 years.

Loving husband of Marianne (nee Butler) for 44 years. Cherished father of Allison Backham Hashiba and husband Hideki (Japan), and Leslie Backham and husband Blair Mitchell (Saskatoon). Dear friend of Ian Henderson, John Frattolin, and Lutz Plotzke and families. Survived by numerous cousins.

Doug was a retired educator with the Greater Essex County District School Board at Centennial, Massey and Kennedy High School.

Special thanks to the Staff on Mulberry at Royal Oak in Kingsville for their kind and compassionate care the last 4 and a half years.

Memorial visiting on Saturday, November 21 from 12 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 2 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue in South Windsor, Ontario.
