BAKER, Raymond Glen Baker

Passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Ontario.
He was born in Murrayville, B.C., on June 5, 1956.
Beloved husband of 47 years to Mary Catherine (Cathy) (Cober).
Dear father of Brian Robert (Jen) and loving grandpa to Emily and Matthew.
Younger brother of David and Brian (Michelle).
Predeceased by parents Arthur and Marion (Mason) Baker.
Ray was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan since he was young. Always cheering on his team.
He was a lifetime member of Whitby Minor Baseball Association, coaching, umping, and he was the Umpire in Chief for the association, teaching umpire’s clinics and mentoring young umpires over the years.
He built a career in construction evidently working as a construction site superintendent. He held vast knowledge in the field and was greatly respected for it.
Ray will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will have a private Celebration of Life later on.
