BALOGH, Maria Mary Balogh

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Maria “Mary” Balogh, born July 4, 1932, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Afton Park Place, at the age of 93. Mary was the thoughtful, loving and caring mother of John (Tammy) Balogh, and grandmother of Christopher (Allison) Balogh and Sarah Balogh. She was a loving and loyal wife to the late John Balogh Sr. for 54 years. She was a strong, fierce European woman whose dedication to God, family and friends, and her work made her a shining example to anyone who was lucky enough to know and love her. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Afton Park Place Nursing Home, including Dr. O’Mahony and Dr. Hall, for their extraordinary care of Mary. She loved the staff and all her friends at Afton. Cremation has taken place. Mary will be laid to rest beside John Sr. in Lakeview Cemetery, following a private family service. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton (cheques only at the funeral home please).
