BALSHAW, Harry Balshaw

After a short but brave journey with cancer, Harry passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025 in his 86th year, with his beloved wife Audrey by his side. Remembered for his quick wit, humor and remarkable ability to recall even the smallest of details. Harry touched many lives with his warmth and kindness.

A proud Legion Member and former Air Cadet Captain, Harry dedicated his life to service, family and his woodworking craft. He was a skilled electrician and found joy in fishing, reading, playing crib and euchre and offering simple gestures of kindness that brought smiles to others, always having a candy in hand.

Above all, Harry was a devoted husband, a loving father, proud grandfather, beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and loyal friend. His legacy of love, strength and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Heaven will be sweeter with Harry’s Werthers.

A celebration of Harry’s Life will be held at the Burford Legion, 4 Park Ave., Burford on Saturday November 8th, 2025 from 1-4p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the Burford Legion, 779 Black Knight Air Cadet Squadron, or the charity of your choice.
