MILLAR, Barbara Joan (nee March) – Born February 14, 1933. After a long and happy life, surrounded by love of family and friends at Bob Kemp Hospice on October 6, 2015.

Beloved daughter of the late Myrtle and James Harold March. Devoted friend, soulmate, and wife of 62 years to Colin Thomas Millar (retired Hamilton Police Chief). Mother of Debbie (Don) and Bette (Troy) Millar. Grandmother of Brady (Kristen) and Haileigh (Patrick) Wood. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Olivia, Emilia, and Jack.

Barb shared countless memories with Colin’s brothers – Robert Millar (Betty, deceased), John Millar, QC, deceased (Marge), and Gord Millar,deceased, (Mary) and their families. She was delighted by her dog Penny.

Recipient of the Hamilton Mountain Rotary Club Paul Harris Award.

Fondly remembered by her many friends who brought her life much joy. Love and gratitude to her angels Dianne, Donna Lee, Janet, Clare and Sharon. May we remember Barbara for her generous love of family and friends (and golf and bridge). In recent years she regularly told us “I’ve had the best life, I really have.”

A private ceremony has been held.  A memorial visitation will take place at Bay Gardens,  947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, ON on Friday, October 9, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations to Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Fennell would be appreciated.
