PARLETTE, Barbara (nee BABCOCK)  –

July 10, 1925 – July 3, 2023

Died peacefully, a week shy of her 98th birthday.

Barbara lived most of her life in Scarborough, Ontario.

Born Barbara Babcock in Massachusetts to parents, Jenny and Reginald, who moved to Nova Scotia when she was a young girl.

Later, as a young woman residing in Ontario, she married Thomas Guy Parlette.

Devoted wife and mother of four children. A homemaker managing a household of six left little time for personal pleasures. To the delight of her children, she made the time to develop an impressive baking repertoire.

Often finding relaxation in knitting, her skills produced countless scarves, mittens and afghans. She is survived by daughter, Stephanie and her sons, Tom, Terry (Donna) and Bruce (Sandra).

Grandmother of Sarah, Sam, Brandon, Vanessa, Tanya, Adam, Tristan, Abbie, Aaron and Melissa. Great-grandmother of Liam, Dylan, Maiah, Izaak, Barin and Ralph.

She also leaves her brother, Barry.

Predeceased by brother, Brian (Bidy); and sister, Beverly.

She will be missed by her many family and friends. A Celebration of her Life Memorial will be held in the coming weeks.
