BEAUCHAMP, Wayne Beauchamp
June 10, 1940 - March 10, 2026He was 85, of Sudbury, Ontario passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10 at Sun Parlor Home in Leamington, Ontario.
He was the oldest of five children born to Alex and Erma Beauchamp in Sudbury, Ontario on June 10, 1940. Wayne was a respected bus driver with Sudbury Transit for over twenty years, a dedicated member of the Loyal Order of Moose, an avid bingo player, a lover of old country music and a passionate fan of the Maple Leafs, Blue Jays and Green Bay Packers. He was a proud Papa who loved nothing more than being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, hearing and telling stories about them or listening to them sing. He was known for his big heart, charm, generosity and kindness to all. He will fondly be remembered by many family and friends as “The Route Bear”, “Big Wayne”, “Papa 50”, “Big Papa” and the funniest “Who-jock-a-fibby” around. He will forever be cherished for his ability to bring a smile to people’s faces with his warm personality, gentle sense of humour or big, tender hugs.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Angeline (Marcotte). He is survived by his children: Gerry Beauchamp and his wife Erin; Cathy Beauchamp-Budge; and Bryan Beauchamp and his wife Janet. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, including Thomas (Kellie) Budge, Heather (Matt) Laurin, Reija (Joe) Gruber, and Royce (Iara) Beauchamp, as well as Gwendolyn, Keiralyn, and Tayalyn Beauchamp, and eight great-grandchildren. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Garvin (Wendy) Beauchamp, his sisters Brenda (Don) DeFinney and Dianne (Edgar) Boczek. He is reunited in eternal rest with his younger brother Kerry (Cathy) Beauchamp.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Tuesday, March 17 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home. A service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18.
