BECHARD, Gary David Bechard

He worked long and hard to beat the odds so that he could enjoy life longer, he won that battle. Now my love it is time to rest until we meet again, so it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Gary David Bechard, on February 9th at the age of 75.

Devoted husband of 39 years to Janis Bechard (nee Fortier). He is reunited with his parents Victor (1982) and Mary (nee Gervais, 2016) Bechard, as well as his brothers Edward (1962), Ken (2003) and Robert (2009), proud uncle to Marc, Wendy (Steve), Kim (Paul), Robert Jr. (2019), Stephanie (Shane) and Stacie. Cherished son-in-law to Leo (1993) and Jeannette (1990), dear brother-in-law to Pat and Jim.

Gary retired from Ford Motor Co. and was a proud member of the Windsor Yacht Club.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Matthews, the Cancer Centre, the 6th floor north of Met campus, Hospice, and all of their dear friends and family who were always there.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Chapel Banwell (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, Windsor, ON) until the time of the Service at 12:30 p.m. and will continue at the Caboto Club (2175 Parent Ave, Windsor, ON) for food and fellowship.

If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or to the Windsor-Essex Hospice.
