BECK, Gerhard Walter Beck

Passed away peacefully at his home on September 7, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Erika (2024), having celebrated over 68 years of marriage.
Loving father of Sabine Harasowsky (Orest) and Susan Strackholder (Dean Nixon). Adored Opa of Andrew (Lara), Anika, Adrian and the late Marcus.

Lovingly remembered by family & friends in Germany.
Erika and Gerhard immigrated to Canada September 20, 1961 after a transatlantic voyage on a Greek ship for 10 days. They travelled to Toronto by train and settled there to begin their life in Canada, with their young daughter Sabine. They would have several moves, to Alberta and Germany, before settling back in Toronto. Erika and Gerhard had a motorhome and enjoyed exploring on many vacations.

Gerhard was a hard worker, dedicating most of his career to construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing antiques and going to antique shows.
