BECKER, William John ‘Bill’ Becker – Obituary

BECKER, William John ‘Bill’  –  (Veteran WW II – RAF) –  Passed away peacefully at Brantford General Hospital on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the age of 94.

Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Bauman) Becker (August 10, 2004). 

Loving father of Cathy Mitchell and her husband Paul and Ron Becker and his wife Betty Anne. Dear grandfather of Ryan Becker and his wife Halina, and Lindsay Becker.  Great Grandfather of William Edmond Becker. Dear brother of the late Ken and Vera Becker. Dear uncle of Tony and Gloria Becker, Nancy and Ray Hawkins, and Ray Hockin.

Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years and actively served his community through the church.

Special thanks to the team at Seasons Retirement Community who took such wonderful care of Bill.

A Prayer Vigil will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 9 Waverly St., Brantford, Ontario, on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 3 p.m.

Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends from 9-10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, Ontario. Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 44 Leonard St., Kitchener, Ontario, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Carmel of St. Joseph or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
