It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carl Bélanger on May 1st, 2025 at the age of 54. Carl tragically lost his life after falling from his boat in the Upper Rideau Lake near Westport.

Carl is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, sons Jordan and Justin, parents Céline and Robin, and extended family. He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces, earning numerous medals and accolades throughout his decorated career. Carl was an active volunteer and a passionate advocate for veterans and youth, leaving a lasting legacy in his community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 18 from 12–4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 177 George Street, Carleton Place. A Legion service will begin at 2pm, officiated by Father David Andrew, followed by eulogies.

Donations may be made to Project Trauma Support, a cause close to Carl’s heart.
