MAROTTA, Beryl Eileen Marotta Obituary
MAROTTA, Beryl Eileen – Born November 7, 1922 in Wainfleet, Beryl (nee Michener) passed away peacefully at Woodlands of Sunset on December 26, 2015, in her 94th year.
Beloved wife of the late John Marotta (2014).
Cherished mother of daughter the late Diane Howlett (2015), son Brian (Ann) and son-in-law Bruce Howlett, loved grandmother of seven grandchildren, and great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Beryl was predeceased by her mother Edna and her father Karl Michener.
Beryl was Pianist and Choir Leader of Morgan’s Point United Church and in her earlier years taught piano in Wainfleet Township.
She was also a member of the Welland Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of the Kinette Club and Port Colborne and Welland Curling Clubs. She also belonged to the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
She with her husband John and children Brian and Diane lived on the Lake at Lorraine Beach for many years before moving to Welland.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Beryl and her husband John will take place on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 1 – 3 p.m. at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home, Welland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Woodlands of Sunset Auxiliary.
