ANKERS, Margaret Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Ankers Obituary

Ankers BethANKERS, Beth (Margaret Elizabeth) – (March 4, 1949 – December 6, 2015) –

In a peaceful setting, with a “Cadillac View,” stolen from the hearts of her loved ones, especially from her “builder of dreams,” husband John.

Predeceased by parents she adored, George and June Belanger.

On the Sun Coast of Florida, Beth would make the seasonal adjustment each year, and would spend cold Canadian days on the warm Southern beaches of newfound paradise at I.R.B., a place she so looked forward to enjoying.

A devoted shih tzu lover, having had three throughout her life, her Ninja will miss his doting “mummy” so much.  Beth supported a range of charities and women’s groups.  She was known as an elegant dresser as a connoisseur of fine food, and was admired by so many in her style and taste.

Beth enjoyed over 10 years of retirement after a long and satisfying career as the Human Resource Director at Mohawk Hospital Services. Beth proudly acquired her C.H.R.P. at McMaster University.

Beth’s presence will be truly missed at Francis Lake, where she was a devoted cottager since she was a small child. Her sunset heaven will never be the same without Beth sitting on the dock on sunset watch.

Her husband John greatly appreciates the compassionate care she received through her final moments.

Beth is survived by her loving husband John, her son James, her Ninja, and her many friends and family. Most importantly, her spirit of kindness and generosity lives on among those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will take place at Bay Gardens funeral home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Thursday, December 10th from 2 0 4pm and 6 – 9pm.

Funeral service will be held at Melrose United Church, 86 Homewood Ave., Hamilton on Friday, December 11th at 1:00 pm.  Burial
