In the Lord’s perfect timing He called to Himself His child, William “Bill” Bethlehem. Beloved husband to Sjanie (nee DeBruin) for 65 years. Loving father and grandfather to Alan and Deb: William and Katie (Atticus, Vivien, Louisa, Beatrix), Rebecca and Shaun Poort (Chloe, Evan, Kyle, Dalia), Shawna, Jessica and Ian VanAndel, Allan and Emily (Aiden, Willa), Eric and Laurisa (Rayna, Titus, Isabelle, Amos), Darrin and Hope (Lily), Ann and Eric Hart: Tegan Smith, Samantha Smith, Sean Lavigne and Mikayla (Archer), Hubert and Joan: Derek and Laura (Oakley, Reggie, Ingram), Chris and Kirsten (Rileigh, Quinn, Rhodes), Melissa and Andres Gomez (Ford, Summer, Luxley) and Shane & Jessica Tan. Beloved brother of Joan† and John† Laven, Theresa and Everet† Schulenberg, Beatrix and Dirk† Lof, Alida Mans, Harry and Ina. Beloved Brother-in-law of Henk† and Gerda, Sam† and Cindy†, Hubert and Joanne, Jane†, Pete and Angie.

Bill and Sjanie founded Bethlehem Trenching in 1974 and employed many people over the years. The company grew and was sold to Sentrex Communications Inc. and continues to operate in Burlington.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at DUNNVILLE EAST CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 109 Inman Rd. Dunnville, where the Memorial Service will take place the following day, Wednesday February 11, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place prior to the service on Wednesday at BURLINGTON MEMORIAL GARDENS (3353 Guelph Line, Burlington) beginning at 9:30 a.m.
