THOMSON, Betty Eleanor (nee SHEERE) –

March 11, 1931 – December 30, 2015

It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Bette.

Loving and devoted wife to the late Ian (Scotty) McLaren Thomson, loving mother to Gregory Ian Thomson and Tracy Ann Thomson (Colero), her son in law Jody Colero, and a most amazing ‘Nana’ to her beloved grandchildren Georgia McLaren Colero and Harley Thomson Colero.

Bette is survived by her sister Shirley Van Ophem and her husband Al Van Ophem, and held close, the warm memories of her dear departed parents Elizabeth Catherine Sheere and Harold (Casey) Nelson Sheere, her brother and sister Harold Sheere and Carol Martin, her sister-in-law Muriel Sheere and her brother-in-law Wray Martin, all of whom she treasured as family, but also as her friends. Bette took great delight in each of her nieces and nephews, and will forever be remembered by all of them for her quirky humour and her grand sense of style.

Bette will always be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family, her sharp and eccentric wit, and her deep love for her entire family and lifelong friends.

Fiercely independent, and up for any adventure, Bette was truly one of a kind! She is once again reunited with her one great love, Scotty, and keeping a watchful and adoring eye on those of us left behind, with the warm and cherished memories she gifted us with.

Service will be held in Toronto ON, on Friday, January 8th.
