BILMER,Simone Edna Bilmer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Simone Edna Bilmer (née Lavigne) on October 4, 2025, at the age of 79.
Simone was the beloved wife of the late Robert Bilmer, with whom she shared a life full of travel, laughter, and unwavering partnership. She was a devoted mother to Jason (Jacynthe) and Angela (Scott), and a cherished grandmother to Evan Bilmer, who brought her immense pride and joy.

A dedicated educator, Simone spent 30 years teaching elementary school – primarily in Cornwall – where she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and patience.
Her legacy is one of compassion, acceptance, and unconditional love. Simone’s optimistic spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, with interment to follow at a later date. A celebration of Simone’s life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Cancer Research Fund or Carefor Cornwall Hospice.
