BIRD, Joyce Marie Bird

Passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 19th, 2026.

Much loved wife of John (predeceased) for 66 years. Loving mother of Doug (Faye) Bird, Linda (the late Lance) Thornton and Patty (Marc) Battle. Cherished Grandma of Jennifer, Rachel, Amy, Ashley (Mike), Candice and Dylan and beloved great-grandmother of Bryce, Emma, Kamryn, Gabriel, Sophia and Belle. Joyce was predeceased by her brother Earl (Ruth) Burley and is survived by her niece Barbara Osmond.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of the CCC AND CCU units at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Their compassion and support meant the world to us.

Joyce loved her family immensely, and was happiest when they were all together.

As per Joyce’s wishes, an intimate family service will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Paul’s United Church.
