BLACK, William John Black

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Black. On December 19, 2025, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Cathleen Jayne Black for 15 years and beloved husband of the late Patricia Ann Black for 51 years. Beloved son of the late William and Charlotte (nee Gerrard) Black. Dear brother to Gordon, Charles, Sheila, Moira, Eileen and Ena.  Bill is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special mention of thanks to Bill’s friends Christina Milan, Joe D’Addio, Rosalba D’Addio, Joe DeMan, Al DesRoches, Randy Boyce, David Heath, Hilda Kroeker, Tracy Wilby, Martin and Tony Heikoop, Carol Payne, Ross DiPaolo.

The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main street Niagara Falls, on Saturday January 3, 2026, from 10 – 11am followed by a service to celebrate the life of Bill, at the funeral home. In keeping with Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place.

As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the SPCA & Humane Society – St. Catharines on behalf of Tilly, Bill’s beloved dog who has been waiting for him to join her for a walk in peace.  Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.morseandson.com
