On June 3rd, 2025 in his 87th year, Ron passed away and is reunited with the love of his life, Marilyn Blendeman, in peaceful rest.

Ronald’s legacy is remembered and cherished by the family he built with his wife. Father to Debbie (Peter) Poppa, the late Carol Anne, Dave (Lorie) Blendeman, Mike (Diana) Blendeman, and Kathy (Rik) Martorano. Jovial and playful papa to Cristina (Stuart and great-grandchild Luna), Michael Poppa, Nicholas, Brandon, Alexandrea, Corey (Erika and great-grandchild Kailen), Kelsey (Fernando), Brittney, and Jordan (Maddi).

Forever cherished by his siblings Julie Balzer (deceased), Yvonne Blendeman (deceased), and Shirley (Roger) Levac. Ron was a respected purchaser at Gates Canada for 33 years, an honourary member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid golfer, and curler. His quick wit, cheerful nature, and playful grin brought light to all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N, Brantford from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel. Father Kevin D’Souza will officiate. Interment to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Tranquility Place Retirement Residence and VON for their compassionate care. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Stedman Community Hospice.
