BOCHAR, Vera Bochar

July 20, 1932 - October 14, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Bochar who peacefully left us on October 14, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born on July 20, 1932 in the area Nyzhchi Vereshchaky, Ukraine and came to Canada when she was 19. She was a devoted wife to the late Peter Bochar and a loving mother to Sonia Melnyk (late Boris Melnyk) and Tony Bochar (Vera Bochar). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Tanya Mavros (Greg Mavros), Paul Bochar (Melissa Bochar), Nick Melnyk (Anita Melnyk) and Katya Nicolle (Matthew Nicolle). She was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren: Anthony, Aleksander, Peter, Lucas, Nicholas, Liam, Natalya, Sofia, Ava and Michael. She was a kind, generous, and strong woman who always put her family first. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ivan Franko Home.
