BOTELHO, Jose Botelho

Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Jose was born on June 3, 1937 in the small town of Ribeirinha, Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal to Aldina Arruda and Clemente Botelho.
He was the second youngest of eight siblings. Jose came to Canada in April of 1966 where he worked in the construction industry at various positions including carpenter, cement finisher and labourer. He eventually transitioned into the manufacturing sector. Mastre Jose loved working with his hands, but his true passion was gardening and landscaping where he devoted countless hours. He was a humble, kind and generous man with a youthful spirit and playful sense of humour.

Jose is survived by his loving wife Zelia, sons Tony (Kimberly), Paul (Sandra) Joe (Patrizia) grandchildren Sdyney, Ian, Joseph, Rianna and Liam. He was a loving family man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 2-4 & 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Cristo Rei Parish on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 10am. Interment at Assumption Cemetery.
