BOUCHER , Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Boucher

With faith in God’s promise of eternal life, our beloved Elizabeth (Betty) Boucher passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88.

Born to Philias and Clementine Marion, Betty was the tenth of eleven children. She is lovingly remembered for her unwavering Christian faith, radiant smile, and her gift for encouragement and compassion that touched everyone she met.

Betty’s greatest joy was her family. She was the devoted wife of Harvey Boucher for 56 beautiful years, and the loving mother of Gina (Darren), Glenn (Tracey), Sheri-Lynn (Phil), and Tanya (Todd). She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren—Amber, Austin, Whitney, Emily, Jason, Haley, Mercedes, Olivia, Ethan, Landen, Taylor, and Sienna—and great-grandmother to sixteen great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply.

She is survived by her dear sisters Margaret and Helen, and will be remembered as a woman of grace, strength, and immeasurable kindness.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Ontario Health at Home, and the dedicated nurses and PSWs from Carefor and Bayshore Healthcare who supported Betty in her wish to remain at home during her final days.

A funeral service for Betty will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Services – Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, ON. Burial and a reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Agape Orphanage Foundation in Betty’s memory.
