It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Joseph Boudreau, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on January 15, 2026, at the age of 93. Victor was born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, on July 20, 1932, to Pierre and Venerante Boudreau (née Robichaud). His life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering faith, qualities that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Victor was predeceased by his devoted wife, Edna Marie (née Gouin), with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage. Their love story was one of partnership and devotion, which set a lifelong example for their children and grandchildren. Victor was also preceded in death by his beloved siblings, sisters Alice, Margarette, and Jean, and brothers Anthony, Jacque, Leon, and George, who together shaped his early years and instilled in him the values he carried throughout his life.
He is survived by a loving family that includes his six children: Lisette Cecile (Roy), Gisele McCormick (Allan), Micheline Argent (Doug), Leon Boudreau, Jean-Paul Boudreau, and Simone Bellaire (Tom). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Krystal, Shawn (Amanda), Joshua Cecile, Sherika, Cody Cartier, Wesley Argent, Devon, and Jeremy Bellaire, and he was fortunate to have many great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
Victor had a fulfilling career, working for 35 years as a welder at Chrysler. His dedication to his craft was reflected in his exemplary work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family. He pursued his education in welding, setting the foundation for a successful career that not only supported his family but also inspired those around him.
Beyond his professional life, Victor was a man of many passions. He was known for his loyalty to his faith, making it a point to attend mass regularly and for many years with Edna they made many many rosaries for Ste. Anne’s Church. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies; he cherished gardening and spent countless hours tinkering with cars, hunting, and fishing. His adventurous spirit also led him to travel, creating memories that he would share with his family.
Victor was a soft-spoken, polite, and sweet man who possessed a calm demeanor and a willingness to help anyone in need. His innocence and genuine nature endeared him to everyone he met. The warmth of his character and the kindness of his soul will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
A special thank you is extended to Extendicare Tecumseh, where Victor received exceptional care and compassion in his final months. Their kindness made a significant difference in his life and the lives of his family.
