BOURCIER, Lucien Romeo Joseph Bourcier

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Romeo Bourcier in a peaceful manner. Romeo passed away at the age of 86, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. His final moments were a reflection of the life he lived—quietly strong, deeply loved, and cherished by those who held him close. Romeo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Colette Bourcier, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering partnership.

Romeo lived with purpose and heart, guided by a deep sense of responsibility and compassion. He found joy in life’s simple moments—a home-cooked meal surrounded by family, a story shared across the table, the quiet peace of a job completed with care. He was unwavering in his support of others, the kind of person who showed up without being asked and gave without expectation.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Espanola Nursing Home for their exceptional kindness, compassion, and care. Your support during his final chapter meant more than words can express.

Everyone is welcome to join the family for the interment at the Espanola Cemetery on Wednesday, June 11, at 9:30 a.m. Afterwards, everyone is invited to the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion for a brunch from 10:00 to 12:00. The family would warmly welcome your presence and support as they honour the life of Romeo with shared memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honour his memory by performing a simple act of kindness, just as Romeo did throughout his lifetime.
