BRADFIELD, Barbara Rae Bradfield
August 2, 1931 - March 9, 2026It is with profound sadness that the family of Barbara Rae Bradfield, of Kingston, announces her passing on March 9, 2026 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Howard and her parents Lillian and Rae McGeoch.
Born in Toronto in 1931 to Lillian and Rae McGeoch, Barbara was a sister to David (Irene), Stephen (Karen) and Jean (Jack) MacMillan. She married the love of her life Howard Walter Bradfield in 1956 and together they raised a family of four – Michael (Deborah), Jeffery (Laurie), Susanne (Ian) and Caroline (Tom). Together they started Anchor Concrete Products in 1968 in Kingston.
Barbara spent her childhood summers at her beloved family cottage in Muskoka where she loved being with her treasured extended family. The cottage provided a special place for her family and grandchildren – Ryan, Fawn (Rome), Beau, Aidan (Cameron), Maia, Fergus, and Timothy (Simran), Kieran, Simon and Riane, and great grandchild Liam.
Barbara was known for her love of bridge and her many bridge friends. Her other interests included a life long fascination with United Empire Loyalists, birds and birding, gardening, cooking, the Kingston Antiques Group, and investing. She loved watching the TV news networks and BNN, reading her Globe & Mail and commenting on politics.
Her burial service will be at Cataraqui Cemetery on Friday March 13 at 3:00 pm. For those unable to attend a livestream is available by REGISTERING HERE. . There will be a memorial service in the spring at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Amherstview.
