It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Royce Brennan, who passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, surrounded by his family, on June 5th, 2025, at the age of 89.

Roy leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Evelyn Brennan (née Leroux), and is remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life journey—from the mines of Sudbury, California, and Missouri to a 27-year firefighting career in Petawawa—was a reflection of grit, compassion, and an adventurous spirit.

Known for his talents in carpentry, aviation, music, and storytelling, Roy built homes, friendships, hangars, and melodies. His Gibson guitar, his Cessna flights, and his campfire tales will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him. His devotion to family and faith, love of classic country music, and radiant spirit will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Neville Funeral Home, 491 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Friday, June 13, 2025 from 9:30–10:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at The Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
