Knight BrianKNIGHT, Brian Arthur – Peacefully surrounded by loving family on Monday, December 21, 2015, at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, Brian Arthur Knight passed away after a three year battle with cancer.

Loved father of LeAnn Knight of Phoenix, Arizona.

Beloved husband of Carol Kingdon and survived by Carol’s children Kerri (Mike) Haney, Kevin Kingdon (Meaghan Duthie) (Stella and Paige) of Vancouver, BC, and Kelly (Rodney) Hale (Caitlyn, Christopher, Carson, and Colton) of Oviedo, Florida.

Dear brother of Dale (Marsha) Knight, Gary (Linda) Knight, Bob Knight and Lori (Steve) Haagmans of Paris, ON. Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Art and Lorraine Knight. Also survived by former spouse Marnie Knight and step-daughter Jody Brown.

Brian was an Imperial Oil Annuitant and school and Community Living bus driver. He also enjoyed many years selling t-shirts at fairs and flea markets.

Brian shared his love of boxing with local young people, teaching at several boxing clubs. He had much success winning Golden Glove Championships in Ontario and Michigan, and won the Gold Medal at the 1975 Ontario Winter Games as Heavyweight Champion and was Ontario’s entry in the Canada 1975 Winter Games, Heavyweight Division in Lethbridge, AB. Brian enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved talking to people from all walks of life and had a special interest in standing up for those with special needs.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2015, at Smith Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
