Peacefully and surrounded by his family and friends, Lornie O’Brien of Quadeville, Ontario passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the age of 81 years. Lornie has reunited with his loving wife Jackie, father Lawrence and mother Mary, and his late siblings; Theresa, Jim, Mike, Kenny and Pat.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Kelly (Brent), Laurie (Danny) and Jenn; his grandchildren Larry, Liam, Logan, Jayden and Gabe; his siblings Joan (Ron), Ann (Murray), Eileen, Glen (Christine); as well as many other family and friends. Lornie will be dearly missed by his hunting gang, his horseshoe crew and the members of the Quadeville Pentecostal church.
Lornie was a family man, even to those who were not relatives. He was a generous, kind and active member of the community. He enjoyed spending his time driving through the bush to look for deer with his wife Jackie, berry picking with his family, fishing with anyone who had a rod, hunting with his family and friends, throwing horseshoes at the Quadeville Fish and Game. Lornie was a hard working man. He enjoyed helping his neighbours with any small engine machines. He will be remembered for his willingness to help wherever he could.
A celebration of life will be held at his home in Quadeville on Saturday, September 27, 2025 beginning at noon. For further information please reach out to the family.
