BRODIE , Carol Louise Brodie

On August 28, 2025 Carol Louise Brodie passed away peacefully at Reachview Village in Uxbridge at the age of 90. Carol was the beloved wife of the late Keith Brodie for 65 years and daughter of the late William and Florence Hudson of Oakridges.

Carol will be dearly missed by her children: Jim (Barb) Brodie of Uxbridge and Diane (Gary) Wallenwein of Markham and her grandchildren; Brent (Rachel) Brodie, Robert (Laura) Brodie, Alysha (James) Ponton and Camden (Jaime) Wallenwein; and great grandchildren Oliver and Madeline Brodie. Carol is survived by her brother Bruce Hudson and predeceased by siblings Ruth, Bill and Albert.

Carol and Keith lived in Markham where they raised their family and were active members of the Markham Missionary Church. Carol was a longtime secretary with the York Region District School Board. Following retirement, Carol and Keith spent their winters at their beloved home in Lily Lake, Florida and summers at the family cottage on Horseshoe Lake, Minden, and later settled in Uxbridge.

Carol was never one to shy from opportunities to entertain. She will be remembered fondly for her love of hosting dinner parties at their Markham home and at the cottage, playing cards and her pursuit to bring laughter to all whom she encountered. Of greatest importance to Carol was her Christian faith; which sustained her throughout her life.

The family are so appreciative of the tender, loving care she received from the staff at Reachview. Her final years were enriched by their attentiveness.

A private family gathering and Interment will be held at the Melville Church Cemetery in Markham. Funeral arrangements have been made through Low & Low Funeral Home in Uxbridge.
