BRODIE, Robert “Rob” James Duff Brodie

Passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Hospital after a brief illness on Sunday February 1, 2026 at the age of 81 years.  Loved and missed by his wife and best friend of 52 years; Heather (nee Paulmert), his daughters Emily Brodie (Nate), and Aline Brodie (Mark) and grandsons, Tommy, Charlie, James, William, Benjamin and Patrick.  Predeceased by his father Robert, his mother Alice, and brother Scott.  Survived by his sister Margaret.  He will also be remembered by family including his many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Robert and his family immigrated to Toronto in 1949.  The family settled in East York where the young Rob learned his beloved game of hockey.  He would go on to attend the University of Toronto where he earned a Degree in Science and completed a Chartered Accountancy Designation.   Shortly after he met and married Heather, the love of his life.   The young couple moved to Uxbridge where they happily settled down and raised two daughters.  As an avid sports fan,  he cheered on the Blue Jays and his cherished Maple Leafs.  Rob had a love of travel, reading, hockey, skiing, spending time with his family/friends, and his Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Friday February 6, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM.  Reception to follow.  Interment will take place in the spring.
