BROKALAKIS, Nickolas Brokalakis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nickolas Brokalakis, who departed this life peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 91, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was the beloved husband of Angela (nee Koutroubadakis), who lovingly cared for him at home until his last days.

Nickolas was a devoted father to the late John (late Loretta), Mary (Jim) Spanos, and Nektarios (Julia). He was a cherished grandfather to Constantine, Nicholas (Heather), Steven, Niko, Jonathan, and Athena and will be deeply missed by many relatives and dear friends in Canada, the United States, and Greece.

Nickolas touched the lives of many through his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family, friends and heritage. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, strength and kind heart.

Nickolas will return to his homeland of Greece for his final resting place, accompanied by his family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Bayshore, who cared for Nickolas so he could remain at home as long as possible, and the incredible team at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital for ensuring his final few days were comfortable. Deep gratitude is also extended to the many friends and relatives who offered their continuous support and love.

A viewing service will be held on Saturday September 13th. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather for prayers with a luncheon following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nickolas may be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church.
May his soul rest in peace and his memory be eternal.

On Saturday September 13, 2025 visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Home 3260 Dougall Ave South Windsor (519-969-5841) from 12 pm until time of Thrice Holy Hymn Service at 3 PM.
