It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Murray Brooks, who passed away peacefully at home,on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Murray was born in Chatham to his devoted parents, Harvey and Barbara (Burrell) Brooks, both of whom predeceased him. He grew up on the family farm in Croton, where his love for the outdoors began. Murray found great joy in farming, working with his hands, and spending time hunting and fishing.

A dedicated Tool and Die Maker by trade, Murray took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand to others.

Murray married the love of his life, Deborah (Langille), with whom he shared many cherished years. His children will miss him deeply, Kevin (Alicia Tanner) and Jeffrey (Madi Matthews), along with his beloved grandchildren, Kara, Brielle, and Aryana, who knew him fondly as Grandpa and Papa.

Murray is also survived by his siblings, Richard (Janet Brown), Cheryl (Al Millyard), and Sheila (Jeffrey Willing), as well as his in-laws, Dennis (Darlene Wog) Langille, and Cathy (George) Sanderson. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

Murray will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the joy he found in caring for his family and friends. He was always ready to help others and brought warmth and laughter wherever he went.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m.

Donations made in memory of Murray to the Thames Christian Fellowship or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
