In memory of Alan Robert Brown
It is with profound sadness that the family of Al Brown announces his passing on May 14th 2025, at the age of 65 years old. Al Brown was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Al is survived by his wife Christine Brown (Adams), his two children: Brandy Howard (Frank) and Cody Brown (Nicole) and his grandchildren, Ayden and Owen Howard, and Luke, Dylan and Rose Brown.
Al leaves behind his two brothers and a sister, Stan Brown (Lisa), Janet McGeachie (John) and Donald (Sue). His brothers and sisters in-law Daniel (Kathy), Patti (Don), Andy (Susan), Matt, Joe (Jackie) and Jon (Sandie). Along with 20 nieces and nephews.
Al was predeceased by his parents, Claire and Edith Brown and his parents in-law Ralph and Patricia Adams.
Al was born in Oshawa and raised in Kedron in a house his dad built. He had a passion for all things that needed fixing, working hard and making people laugh. He loved being around his family and friends and sitting in a lawn chair to chat, preferably by a campfire. If you ever needed help, Al was always there.
He met his wife, Christine in 1981 and they married in 1986. They lived a life full of adventures across Canada with a special love for canoe and motorcycle trips. Then they headed abroad from Venezuela to Hawaii to Europe together. They bought a piece of land beside the Irondale River and built their cottage; their northern escape, a place to build countless memories with the ones they loved.
Al loved to spend time with everyone he met, and in turn, he was loved by all. He had a hard last few years, but through it all, Christine was there to help him in every way she could. When she needed support family and friends were always there by their side. Al could always be seen with a smile on his face even in these tough times.
