BROWN, George Griffith Brown

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Griffith Brown, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 15, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on November 6, 1938.

George will be deeply missed by his beloved and devoted wife of 57 years, Carol Brown (nee Menzies), with whom he built a beautiful life filled with laughter and love. Forever in the hearts of his children Bonnie Brown (Jim), Brenda Brown (Ken), Curtis Brown (Laura), and George Brown Jr., as well as his adored dog, Rocky. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Robert (Katie), Scotty, Jacob, Zac, Julia (Johnny), Brandon, Curtis Jr., and Anna, and his great-grandchildren Kyliee and Alaina, who will carry forward the joy he brought into their lives.

Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Edith Brown, and his siblings Peter Brown (Theresa), Dorothy (Sam Thorton), and Barbara (Fred Teaney), George will be missed by his sister-in-law, Cheryl (Gary Shean), and by his many nieces and nephews.

George was a fun loving, charismatic man whose life was full of love and laughter. During his lifetime he enjoyed many activities including, baseball, bowling, cards, darts and dice. George left a mark on everyone who met him. He overcame many obstacles in his lifetime, passing on his wisdom of hard work and the power of inner strength. He was not a judgmental man and his love was unconditional. His favorite pastime was spending it with family, whom will all truly and deeply miss him.
