BROWN, James Sr. Brown Obituary

BROWN, James Sr. – Passed away peacefully on October 11, 2015 at the age of 92.

Loving husband of the late Verna (nee Springgay), 2001. Loving father of James (Kathy) and Carrie Amlin (Urban). Beloved “Pop” to Matthew (Erica), Jillian, Andrew, Blake and Mason. Predeceased by parents Frederick and Lucy (nee Turner). Survived by sister Marjorie Christie.

Predeceased by brother Gordon. Loving brother-in-law of Linda Springgay, Dorothy Driscoll and Dorothy Brown. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Dad loved his time living at Season’s Amherstburg.

Special thanks to all the Season’s staff and friends, Drs. Aoun and Chow and the staff on 4th and 6th floors at WRH Ouellette who provided such excellent palliative care to Dad in his final days.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial celebration of Dad’s life will take place Friday, October 16 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Families First, 585 Sandwich Street S. in Amherstburg, Ontario.  Veteran’s Memorial Service under the Auspices of Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee on Friday at 7:30 pm.
