BROWN , Madeline Sarah Rose Hagan Brown

With sadness we announce the passing of Madeline Hagan on August 6, 2025. She was in her 80th year.

Mom to Christine, Tara (Sunny Mattu), Eden, and Spencer (Jessica). Grandma to Gabriel (Ornella), Aislinn (Santi), Maya, Sajjan, Emery, and Kellen.

Predeceased by our Dad, Gary (2014).

Mom worked at Henderson Hospital for over 40 years. Retirement brought time for adventures with friends, and her many hobbies like dancing, gardening, and quilting. Just last year Mom discovered her birth family, unraveling a remarkable war-time love story and bringing her sister Christine (UK), brother Andy (US), and nephew Paul (UK) and their families into ours. What a gift! Survived by brother-in-law Doug (Heather) Hagan and family, and nephew Kevin (Shelley) Hagan.

Our family would especially like to thank Mom’s friends who kept her smiling and laughing in her final days. Also, Dr. Kara Schnarr and Amy at Juravinski Cancer Center, the VON, Emmanuel, and the amazing staff and volunteers at Stedman Community Hospice.

Cremation has taken place. Interment at Caledonia Cemetery. We will celebrate our Mom and Grandma at a later date. Donations to Stedman Community Hospice appreciated.
