BROWNELL, Kerry Lynn Doyle-Brownell

With heavy hearts, the family of Kerry Doyle-Brownell shares the news of her passing on November 10, 2025, at the age of 52. Kerry left us far too soon, and her absence is felt deeply by all who loved her.

Kerry will be dearly missed by her cherished son, Keegan Brownell, and by his father, Grant Brownell. Kerry is survived by her loving mother, Sharon Doyle, and is reunited in spirit with her late father, Gerald Doyle, whose memory she carried close to her heart. Her sister and best friend, Lisa Milne, and brother-in-law, Dave Milne. Her nephews, Trever Poulin (Monika) and Justin Poulin (Melissa & Owen).

Kerry will also be lovingly remembered by the entire Brownell family—Ron and Margaret Brownell, Debbie Ireland (Eric), Glenn Brownell (Maureen), Karen Chapman (Mike)—along with her nieces and nephews: Kara Bandfield (Andrew), Hillary Smith (Andrew), Curtis Ireland (Chelsea), Steven Chapman, and her great-nieces and nephews: Teegan, Noah, Aila, and Riley.

Born and raised in Oshawa, Kerry built her life in the place she called home. For 31 years, she poured her heart into her work as a Student Advisor at Durham College, where she helped countless students find their direction. Kerry had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and supported, and she touched more lives than she ever realized.

Kerry loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit, always ready to discover new places and share stories from the road. She approached life with warmth, humor, and a gentle kindness that drew people to her. Her laughter, her thoughtful nature, and her love for her family will be treasured forever.

A private funeral will be held at Union Cemetery.
